It’s the year 2000
Dwayne has traveled the world, playing professional basketball overseas. At 35 he makes an executive decision to retire, stepping away from the game he once loved. Eventually he returns to the states, back to square one.
He becomes a teacher and also coaches high school basketball. With all this to keep him busy and occupied there’s still a feeling of unfulfillment. Taking a look back Dwayne remembers God always showing and revealing certain things to him.
Outside of his God’s affirmation he feels like he has nothing else– Just the vision that God gave him. It’s here that Dwayne begins writing and trusting God’s plan using only what he had. In doing so, he stopped teaching and coaching high school basketball.
What would be the life changing play that allowed him to experience success and achieve true fulfillment?
God’s plan!
Yes I know what you’re thinking. This sounds cliche, very textbook. “God’s plan?” But the answer to any doubt or confusion is yes. Stepping out on faith and utilizing the work ethic already embedded in him, Dwayne would watch God move mountains.
The Lord took what he was doing in the world, and perfected it in the kingdom. Because of Dwayne’s faith, discipline, perseverance, and sacrifice he’s reaping the fruits of his labor.
From teaching math and science, to becoming President/CEO of a Christian Private School. From coaching high school basketball to becoming a Transformational Life Coach.
Romans 28:8 tells us,
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
True fulfillment resides where your purpose lies. Ask yourself, are you truly fulfilled?
